In addition, in the face of the different needs of overseas markets, the Gabion wire uses different surface treatment methods. Among them, electrogalvanizing is the most common one, but its anti-corrosion performance is poor, and the maximum amount of zinc can only reach about 10g/m2. The best performance in terms of corrosion resistance is hot dip galvanizing, whose zinc content can reach 300g/m2, and it has a very strong corrosion resistance.
In terms of new anti-corrosion processes, Galfan (zinc aluminum alloy) is a very good choice. At present, there are two kinds of materials on the market, namely zinc-5% aluminum-mixed rare earth alloy steel wire and zinc-10% aluminum-mixed rare earth alloy steel wire. These materials can effectively improve the corrosion resistance of the stone cage mesh, so that it can be used in a variety of harsh environments.
PVC encapsulation is the most common anti-corrosion method. PVC encapsulation in the fine treatment of stone cage mesh is very strict, the general thickness of the encapsulation should be about 1.0mm, such as 2.7mm encapsulation after it will become 3.7mm. The stone cage mesh treated by this process has very strong corrosion resistance and a long life.
