Cold-formed U-shaped steel sheet pile was introduced at the end of the 20th century. Compared with traditional Larsen steel sheet pile, cold-formed U-shaped steel sheet pile has the following advantages:
1. Low weight per square meter. When providing the same or higher product performance, the amount of steel used is low and the material cost is saved.
2. Wider width. Under the same project, the number of steel sheet piles is reduced, thus speeding up the construction and piling speed, saving manpower and equipment costs.
3. Uniform thickness. The traditional hot-rolled steel sheet pile is usually of uneven thickness, and only shows the thickness of its thickest part, and the thickness of its lock part is extremely thin, which is easy to be damaged during pile driving. The cold-formed steel sheet pile has uniform thickness, is more stable when driving, and can be recycled many times.
The general delivery status of U-shaped steel sheet piles is single pile delivery, without group pairing. In some designs, U-shaped steel sheet piles can also be shipped as box steel sheet piles.
