Two strength grades to meet different load requirements
Our nylon cord's mechanical properties are determined by its base material (PA6 or PA66) and drawing process. We offer two strength grades:
Standard Grade (550–750 MPa): PA6-based, ideal for wiring harnesses, craft weaving, and light bundling-offering flexibility and cost-effectiveness.
High-Strength Grade (930–1150 MPa): PA66-based with high-draw processing for near-metal strength. Perfect for heavy-load towing, industrial lifting, and fishing nets. A 1.0mm strand breaks at >90kg-just 1/6 the weight of steel wire.
Excellent overall physical and chemical properties
Nylon offers excellent abrasion resistance-one of the best among thermoplastics-with a low coefficient of friction even without lubrication. It resists most organic solvents, oils, fuels, and weak alkalis, making it suitable for chemical and automotive environments. Although nylon absorbs some moisture, our special modification ensures excellent dimensional stability in humid conditions. Temperature resistance: PA6 handles 100–120°C continuously, PA66 up to 120–150°C, with even better short-term performance.
